The Sun Inn was situated on Judges Hill. This pub is now used as Judges Restaurant and Cocktail Bar.

Just read the post about my grandparents who ran this pub and my mum was born there. Many happy memories of my visits as a young girl helping behind the bar and tasting Smith's crisps with the old waxed salt packet and the introduction of cheese and onion! Love the memories took my mum to see her old home about 4 years ago brought back many happy days before the air raids when she was a teenager before working at Hertford in the council offices.
My grandad loved his horse racing and ironically I now live near Ascot racecourse.

Jean Thompson 1941 I was 12 years old and it was when the air raids were at the worst,my parents were customers at the pub when Vic and Marie Elsom were the landlords, when the sirens went we drove from Cuffley to the Sun as my Mother was frightened and wanted company during the raids,I stayed in the living quarters being too young to be in the bar.
