The Black Horse Inn was situated on Blackhorse Lane. This pub closed in the 18th century.

My 4 times grandfather was publican of this pub between c1841 to c1881. Owing to its remote location this pub became an attraction to larcenists. William left this pub by 1881 and became a beer seller. After c1881 to 1896 (His death) he became publian to the Jolly Farmer which was in town and a safer place to do business.
