The Ship was situated in Cuckolds Green Road and closed in 2007/8. In its last days, battling for trade, it was involved in a price war with the nearby and still trading Nags Head. Although this was very popular with customers it proved to be a battle to the death. Planning permission has been granted for it's (now undertaken) demolition, it will be replaced with housing.
