I lived in Mount St, where the Dolphin Pub was, from 1944 until 1960 when Mount St was pulled down. I remember knocking on the Dolphin door to get a packet of crisps and a bottle of lemonade.

Probably the last tenant here was Mr Walker,  who then moved to Bulls Head at Redlam, a Thwaites pub. His son was called Ian. The Dolphin was demolished to build a new three storey block of flats. A new pub was built across the road called the Three Pigeons, which sadly has also closed.
