Braddylls Arms

The Braddylls Arms was situated at 12 Market Place. This was a grade-II listed pub.
Source: David Townson

Listed building details:
Public house. Possibly late C18. Painted render with concrete tile roof. 3 storeys and 2 bays. The windows are sashed without glazing bars in narrow painted surrounds with projecting sills. The right-hand bay contains a yard entrance with elliptical arch. The building is entered through a door in this passageway and a rear wing faces east towards the yard. The rear wall of the main building has a tall window with glazing bars above the passageway.
Historical note: a view of the Market Place c1780 clearly shows No.2 Daltongate (qv), which adjoins to the left, but shows a building of 4 bays occupying the site of the Bradyll Arms, suggesting that it was later rebuilt or remodelled.
