The Dew Drop was situated at 22 Brydges
Road.
This backstreet pub was present by
1874 and was tied to the Charrington’s Brewery of Mile End, London. It was
originally called the Dew
Drop Inn, the name becoming abbreviated by 2004, rather spoiling the pun.
At around this time, ownership passed to Punch Taverns. The pub closed in
the first weeks of 2011. |

My Mother worked there in 1947 while pregnant
with me. I was born 10 dec. 1947. Great little pub , my family lived around
the corner in Chobham Rd. Returned from Oz many years ago on a nostalgia
trip so sad to see it gone. |
