The Kings Head was situated at 36
Stratford Broadway. This pub was owned by Charringtons. I believe it was
demolished when a new shopping centre was built on the site. There was a
Wimpy Bar next to the pub, and church just up the Broadway on the left, as
you faced the road from the pub. The pub was very badly damaged/gutted by
fire around 1967. At this time is was run by parents Rose and Gordon Luxton
(tenants of Charringtons). |
