Ringwood Castle

The Ringwood Castle was situated at 49 Gosport Road, closing in August 2009.

This pub opened in 1891 as the Lord Randolph Churchill, being renamed the Ringwood Castle the following year.  In its early years it had a billiards room and a bowling alley.  It was a Trumanís Brewery pub, acquired by Greene King in 2001.  It became run-down and closed in 2009.  It was demolished in late-2010 or early 2011 and replaced by flats (see photo below).
