My grandmother owned this pub and we lived with her for a while. My
family's name was Pyle although my grandmother had remarried after
losing her husband in WW1 and I can't remember her last name. Can
remember hiding under the counter as a little girl and Sandy McPherson,
who had his recording studio nearby, would lean over and talk to me.
Also remember that my bedroom was at the top of the building and I used
to look down to the street below and watch a man with a barrel organ and
a monkey. |
