Golden Lion

The Golden Lion was situated at 57 Carnegie Street. This pub was demolished by at least c.1960s when the Barnsbury Estate was built.

This pub was probably badly damaged by bombing in World War 2. The Chapel on the opposite corner was totally destroyed. The Barnsbury Estate was built piecemeal starting in the 1950s. I would guess this pub would've gone by the early 1950s.
