Jubilee Arms

The Jubilee Arms was situated at 352 Upper Street. This pub closed in the early 20th century and is now in commercial use at ground level.

My Gran was the cleaner there in the 1920-30s. The landlord, who was a friend of the family, was Mr Sutcliffe. My mum used to go and play with his kids clockwork train set while her mum cleaned downstairs. The trains puffed real smoke.
Gregory Smith (October 2015)
