The Wellington Inn was situated at 513 Archway Road. This pub was closed and demolished in 1988, and replaced with an Esso petrol station known as the Wellington Service Station.
This pub had a famous boxing club, the doors at the back had a boxing ring and a gym downstairs. Frank Bruno had been there training in 1986, it had a lot of amateurs started boxing in this club joined to the pub. It should had never been demolished, it was a good pub and had a good boxing club. I knew fighters from there .
