Malden Arms

Malden Arms, Kentish Town

The Malden Arms was situated at 177 Malden Road and is now in residential use.

I'm just reading through some of my dad's letters he sent home whilst serving in Burma in 1945. Amid all the jungle mud, monsoon rains, and fighting the Japanese Army, he finds time to include a mention of the Malden Arms (he lived in Kentish Town), and he says '...the Malden Arms, god bless it...' No doubt he was dreaming of the day the war would end and he got back back to 'Blighty' and a few beers in his favourite pub!
