The Ironfounders Arms was situated on Norman Road. This pub has now been demolished.

I was born opposite this pub and lived there until1961 when the council took over moved us out. I now live in kent i still miss the place and the people that i grew up with in fact the son of pub has just passed away same name as dad John Callendar Nice people 3 sisters. My family all used used our local in Norman Road Greenwich.

My Great Gran Sarah Harris was the Landlady here from c1890 onwards. She used to watch the men from the iron foundry opposite come into the pub to grab a pint, then sit outside on the iron foundry wall in all weathers to drink the beer and eat their packed lunch. She decided to make dozens of hot pies to sell, so they had a hot meal to eat at lunch. She added sandwiches, cakes, etc. The milk boards 1950s ploughmans wasn't the first "Pub Lunch"!
