My parents, Lou and Charles Hewlett were the licensees
for this period having previously had The Manor Tavern in Galleywall
Road, Bermondsey. From the Rising Sun they moved to The Blacksmiths
Arms, Caterham on the Hill until 1970 on which they retired to
Upminster, Essex. Wonderful memories of a lovely clientele. |
