The Red Lion was situated at 198 Lower
Road.
This 1870 pub at the junction with Rotherhithe New Road replaced an earlier
building that dated from at least 1805. The Red Lion ceased trading in
1994. It was also known as The Halfway House, The Ship Marlborough and The
Jolly Miller. |
