The Victoria

The Victoria was situated at 757 Woolwich Road.
My mum worked as a barmaid here in the late 1960s. The landlord was Andy Blair, a Scotsman. He had a Boxer dog called Bonnie which used to fight with the dog from The Lads Of The Village whenever they met. The two pub landlords were not very friendly either as they were alway trying to get more punters in - you had Harveys, Siemens and all the big factories around there at the time. The Victoria sold the best Tuborg lager ever.

The pub has now been converted into a Domino's pizza place with flats built at the rear.
