Ann Clarke 1972/1973 I liked this pub and visited with a friend in the 1970's when I lived in London. I remember it had a life sized coach on the balcony outside which was lit up and a stream going through the pub. Such a shame it is now closed. On one occasion I visited the pub with a friend and Tommy Cooper was sat yards from us and my friend asked him for his autograph! such good memories!
Pat Kirby 1970s Played there for a few years in an Organ & Drums Duo. As part of the deal we got a free meal and a few beers each night! Lots of celebs drank there as it was fairly close to the BBC. The Manager was an ex-cop called John, followed by a chap called Wilf. Lots of Aussie staff worked there.
