Falcon Hotel

Falcon Hotel, W9

The Falcon Hotel was situated at 341 Kilburn Lane. This pub closed in 2016, and planning permission granted for demolition.
A memory as a child 1950, after early Sunday morning swimming at the Penny halfpenny steps baths with all the family and extended family getting back to our homes at the top of Bravington Road, I was sent on round to the Falcon Pub to buy a quart of winkles from the shellfish stall parked outside the pub. Our flat had been bombed as was St Luke's church and the crescent. The pub survived the Luftwaffe. Heartbroken to see it go. Wonderful memories but we have a Falcon pub on the Golden Mile in Southend.
