Crown & Anchor

The Crown & Anchor was situated on Norfolk Street. This pub
was trading by 1739 when it was the meeting place for the founders of the
Foundling Hospital, primarily Thomas Coram. Norfolk Street ran parallel
between Surrey Street and Arundel Street (both extant), but along with the
pub has long been demolished.
