The Samuel Whitbread was situated at 17-18 Leicester Square. This pub closed c1970. An ultra-modern pub built for Whitbread by T. P. Bennett Architects in 1958, at a cost of £150,000. Later owned by Forte, this has been a burger restaurant - currently Burger King - for several decades.
