The Masons Arms was situated at 75 High Street. The original pub was rebuilt. After it closed it reopened as a nightclub, the Club Romanesque.
Long rumoured to be the roughest pub in the area, most people stayed away. When you did venture in, you'd genuinely find a weird cast of characters including a three legged dog.
