The Railway Hotel was situated on
Railway Approach. This pub was closed in the 1990s, and burnt down by
arsonists in 2002. It has now been replaced by a block of flats. The Who
played here in the 1960s and a picture of the pub appeared on the cover of
The Who’s 1971 album, Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy. |
