The Bay Horse was situated at the top of Byker Bank and was demolished to make way for the raised section of the Metro. Originally a Nimmo's pub it was then absorbed into the Whitbread Breweries. I was born in this establishment in 1963 as my Grandfather, Thomas Nicholson was the then Landlord.
