The Wheatsheaf Inn was situated on Main Street. This was a grade-II listed pub that is now in residential use.
Listed building details:
House and cottage, formerly public house. Mid C18. Render, over red brick. Plain tile leading to pantile roof. 2 gable and single ridge red brick stacks. Raised brick coped gables with kneelers. Dentil and dogtooth eaves. Set on a plinth. Two and a half storeys, 5 bays. First and second floor bands to the right 3 bays. Doorway, 4 steps up, with C20 door and overlight. Either side are single glazing bar sashes, to the left is a blocked opening and on the far left a single similar sash set slightly higher. Above are 3 similar sashes and to the far left a single similar smaller sash set slightly higher. Above are 3 small glazing bar casements. Ground and first floor openings and blocked opening are all under segmental arches. To the rear is a lean-to extension.
