The Black Horse was situated on Thame Road. This pub has a datestone inscribed "F.G. 1751" and was recorded as The Wheatsheaf in 1831. The building was grade-II listed in 1973 and is currently a private residence entitled Black Horse Cottage, although it retains its pub sign bracket.

Listed building details:

Inn, now house. 1751 on datestone. Colourwashed coursed limestone rubble with some brick dressings; plain-tile roof with brick stack. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys. 3-window front, with brick quoins to angles, has a central door beneath a C19 tiled canopy flanked by 3-light casements; at first floor are casements of 2, one and 2 lights. All joinery and lintels C20. Double-span roof. Chimney projections to left end of front range. Datestone inscribed F.G./1751on left end wall, noted as formerly over doorway. Interior not inspected. Included for group value.
