The Queens Arms was situated at 10 Wellington Road. This pub was present by 1850 when the publican was John Granger. It was renamed Hawks Bar in 1997, then the B4 Bar, before becoming the New Queens Arms in 2009, finally closing c2012 and being converted to residential use.

My grandad Margo Ram Mal owned and ran this pub some time in the 1960/70's. They lived upstairs and the middle window in the photo was my dads bedroom. Rumours has it he was the first asian pub owner in England. He passed a few years ago, but was beloved by the local community.
