The Woodman Inn was located on Wallows Road.My
dad was the landlord in the mid to late 1970s. There was a tradition that
the pub would send a crate of beer over to the morning shift at Road Oak
Steelworks. This probably dates back to the days when water wasn’t fit to
drink. |
