The Swan & Sugarloaf was situated at 1 Brighton Road. This pub is now boarded up following closure and eviction of squatters.
It has now been converted to a Tesco Express.

Steve Benbow ran his own folk club at the Swan & Sugarloaf, Brighton Road, Croydon from Sunday 11th April 1965 (on and off) until Sunday 28th May 1967. He then transferred to the Norbury Hotel, London Road, Norbury on Sunday 4th June 1967. The club continued (on and off) at the Norbury Hotel until Sunday 24th March 1968.
