Olive and Harold Greenslade ran the Wheelwrights
Arms from 1956 until 1960 and lived in the pub with their son Roger. They
took the pub over when it was owned by Frome and Lamb Brewery in time Ushers
of Trowbridge took it over and it became an Ushers, Watney Mann pub. As did
the pub opposite the Three Horseshoes - O & H moved to the Bird in Hand at
Bishops Lydeard, Nr. Taunton where they ran the pub for 25years. |
