The Black Horse was situated on Main Street. This pub was present by 1893 when the publican was Isaac Carr. It is now used as a restaurant.

My uncle, Dennis Smith , was one of the last landlords of the Black Horse. The pub was noted for having no bar, uncle Dennis served from the cellar!
