John Wride	1969/1974	My Father moved from the Priory Inn to the Darley Arms. It was a very busy pub and there were fist fights most Saturday nights. The majority of customers were fishermen who would be at sea for 3 weeks and then home for a week or less. They would spend like crazy and buy everyone drinks. When they left to go back to sea they had to buy beers and spirits on credit as all their money was gone. It was a pub filled with incredible characters.
