The Murton Arms was situated on Moor Lane. This pub closed in January 2017, re-opened briefly in August 2017 for 6 months before final closure. The pub previously traded as the Bay Horse, and other names, from about 1805 in a building constructed in the late 1700s. Repeated attempts to find a landlord have failed and the property was put up for sale between 2019 and 2022 and again in December 2024. Listed as a "community asset" in 2020 despite objection from the then owner.
