The Dusty Miller was situated on the junction of Canklow Road and Westgate.

The last landlord & landlady of the pub were Michael and Olwen Torpey. Olwen was my grandmother's cousin. I can remember going there when I was very young. They had a Great Dane called Tiny. When they left the Dusty Miller they became landlords at the Featherstone & Junction until their retirement.
