The Station was situated on Ousegate.

The Station Public House dates from the mid 19th century constructed of slate and brown brick with later extensions. The building's fron elevation retains some regency features such as panalled wooden pilasters and entablature surrounding the entrance door. The large tripartite window appears to be an early 20th century addition. Two original windows are filled in. There are internal alterations and some damage to many period features.Some rooms have evidence of cornicing, picture rails, architraves, transom lights and panelled doors. The switchback staircase to the first floor is of interest, with barley twist spindles. Later additions could also be the tiling in the lobby, the wooden bar and the wood panelling to the ground floor Pool Room. In 1891 the The Station Inn was known as the Keel Inn, and maps at the time name the rear yard as 'Duke of York Yard' suggesting a previous title. It first appeared as The Station Inn in 1927
