The Black Lion was situated on Main Street.  This pub (formerly owned by Admiral Taverns) closed in 2019 but was bought in March 2024 by locals setting up a community association. It reopened in November 2025 following extensive refurbishment by volunteers but closed again on 23rd May 2026 as the tenants have informed the association's Committee that running the pub was no longer sustainable.
