The Pear Tree Inn was situated on Lower Street
and is now used as a private house. This pub closed on June 11th 1928. Some
of the pub features remain , notably the old beer cellar ( now integrated as
part of a utility room ). Peartree Inn comprised of two properties . Today
both are private houses Peartree House and Peartree Cottage respectively (
the former was the pub and the latter the pub accommodation with doors
between the two buildings linking the two ) |
