The Anchor & Hope was situated at 41 West Ferry Road. This former Courage Brewery pub was present by 1829.  It closed in 2005, by which time it was an isolated older building amidst the modernity of the Canary Wharf district.  A reopening in 2007 was short-lived and by 2008 the pub was again closed.
