The Rose & Crown was situated on Walker Road. Known locally as The Collingwood, this pub was demolished following a fire.

Tracy Grant	1983	I worked in this pub around 1983" after that new management the name changed to ( something like PIP's bar: it lay empty for a while as I'm sure was a listed building then demolished after a fire.
