The Hope & Anchor was situated on the riverside. This pub closed in 1961.

My Dad used to push me in my wheelchair along the bank of the Parrett bird watching when I was young and we always stopped at the Hope and Anchor on the way home.He’d have a light ale and I’d have a fruit juice sat outside.Good days.
